wish list

I saw this awesome tank on Facebook today and I immediately decided I need it in my life. It was originally seen on swaychic instagram, and today my favorite local boutique, Heart, posted it online on her wall stating they now had in stock. I plan on going after work on Friday to pick one up, hopefully they still have some! I'm going to The Black Keys concert on Saturday and I think this tank would pair really well with my leather leggings, which I planned on wearing to the show. It's just so cute, do you think?

lost at sea

All this hot weather lately has me thinking about going on vacation and playing at the beach. I came across this L'Officiel Paris May 2012 editorial on one of my favorite blogs Studded Hearts and I wanted to share it with you all. Saturday we spent the day at Andrew's parents' house to celebrate his Grandpa's birthday. It was around 75 degrees out and a little windy-but overall gorgeous. We hung out by the pool, vegged out and drank delicious wine. It was a splendid day to say the least. Here is a few shots from my mini photo shoot by the pool. I tried to capture some of the six pink flamingos that Andrew's mom has-I absolutely adore them! Enjoy!

Today was another hot day as I predicted, so I was happy to throw on shorts and a tank today. Lately, I seem to be drawn to sheer structured tanks with buttons, pockets and collars so I put on my beige and black one with my high waist black shorts. It was comfortable and casual-which was great for a hot, lazy Sunday. However, I did notice that I'm pretty pale, so I guess its time to apply some self tanner so that I don't look so washed out when I wear neutrals. Anyways, I took these pictures in the morning right as I was leaving to run some more errands, and as soon as I got back I quickly changed into my bikini for the barbeque at my sister's house. It felt great to get some sun, I must say, and hopefully I don't look like a ghost anymore. Hope everyone has a great week!

Today feels like summer and I love it! I can't wait to lay out every weekend and drink sangria and margaritas by the pool with my sister and girl friends. The hot sun makes me giddy for all the hot nights that are coming and all the fun things I wan to do this summer. I'm so ready for cut-offs, flowy tanks, and everything maxi! For my look today, I decided to pull out my salmon navajo print maxi skirt and pair it with a simple black tee to wear as I ran around town getting some much needed errands done. Tomorrow is supposed to be 87 degrees again, so Andrew and I plan on barbequing with my sister and her fiance and some friends. Hopefully, I get to see some pool time...how I long to sprawl out on a colorful towel and just dive into a good book and forget about the world. Doesn't that sound like an amazing Sunday? Well, I think so! Happy sunny and hot weekend everyone!

it's all happening

I came, saw and conquered Coachella this past weekend. It was everything I imagined and more. The weather wasn't always cooperative (especially Friday) but with a little outfit tweaking and lots of layers I managed to see most of the bands I wanted and stayed warm. My sisters and I had a great time and we partied like rock stars (alright well we tried to). Lots of dancing, singing and picture taking! Overall I had an amazing experience and I can't wait til next year's festival.

Coachella is less than a week a way and it's all I think about. I having been contemplating my outfit selections non-stop and it seems that every website is telling me what to pack and how to dress for spring festivals. Here is some great inspiration that will hopefully guide me in the right direction on what to pack so that I may look boho-chic and still be comfortable for the many hours I'll be dancing and singing underneath that hot desert sun. I can't wait!
